Bill Smock, MD

Bill Smock, MD is an emergency medicine physician and a full-time Police Surgeone. He irects the Clinical Forensic Medicine Program for the Louisville Metro POlice Department. Dr. Smock is an internationally recognized forensic physician and trains medical professionals, law enforcement and attorneys in the investigation of: officer-involved shootings, strangulation, gunshot wounds and injury mechanisms. He has recently developed a protocol for the radiological evaluation of non-fatal strangulation patients in Emergency Departments.
