Beyond a Reasonable Doubt: How the Tennessee Innocence Project & the Davidson County District Attorney Review Wrongful Conviction Cases

Lawyers have a duty to pursue justice above all, and, in Davidson County, this means that two lawyers on both “sides” of the criminal justice system are working on a common goal. Jessica Van Dyke of the Tennessee Innocence Project works to obtain exonerations for the wrongfully convicted and works to effectuate changes to facilitate the discovery of wrongful convictions. Sunny Eaton, of the Conviction Review Unit of the Davidson County’s District Attorney’s Office is charged with identifying and investigating past convictions for credible claims of actual innocence. Listen as Amy Mohan moderates a fascinating conversation about this important work.
