The Nuts & Bolts of Wrongful Convictions

LAW welcomes Jason Gichner, Deputy Director and Senior Legal Counsel of the Tennessee Innocent Project. 

The Tennessee Innocence Project is a nonprofit law firm that represents innocent Tennesseans locked up for crimes they did not commit.  Jason will be discussing several of their exonerations, but focusing on the Joyce Watkins and Wayne Burgess cases.  He will also discuss wrongful convictions generally, how they happen, why they happen, and how big of a problem this is in Tennessee.
